If you have a tie (for instance, you enjoy speaking in person in front of big and small groups equally), sit with it for a bit. It may mean you have 2 Marketing Love Factors, but I suspect you have one favorite and one that’s a close second.
If you do have a tie (or multiple ties), don’t rush the process. Ask your Inner Wisdom or your intuition for help — one of them is your MOST favorite and the one you’re MOST suited for — but that doesn’t mean you don’t have multiple talents and it also doesn’t mean you can’t capitalize on them when you create your Online Marketing Plan.
In addition, make a list of those that are your least favorite, or that you resonate least with. Those are the ones you’ll want to hire a team to help you implement. Yes, they are important to your marketing plan, but you certainly don’t need to do them yourself.
Typically what you want to do is start with one marketing tactic, in this case, your Marketing Love Factor, and make that the centerpiece of your marketing activities. Once that’s working for you and bringing in a steady source of ideal prospects, then you can start adding other marketing tactics (and if you’re adding tactics that you don’t particularly enjoy, then you can start bringing in team members as well).
In Chapter 9, I’ll show you how to build your Online Marketing Plan around your Marketing Love Factor.
Now that you know which marketing activity is best suited to your preferences when it comes to finding and attracting your ideal prospects, let’s talk about how you can then start building and nurturing your list/community.
